The company\u2019s security update listing hasn\u2019t been revised with iOS 8.1.2 as of writing so it\u2019s unclear what the other bug fixes consist of.<\/p>\n<p>The update is compatible with the iPhone 4S and newer, every iPad expect the first-generation model and last but not least, the fifth generation iPod touch. It\u2019s available as an over-the-air update for devices with enough free storage (navigate to Settings &gt; General &gt; Software Update to initiate the download).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.techspot.com\/news\/59111-apple-ios-812-fixes-issue-disappearing-ringtones.html\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nccomputertech.com\/techtalk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/2014-12-09-image-7.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Should you not have enough free space, you\u2019ll need to connect to iTunes on a computer to get the update.<\/p>\n<p>In the event you lost any ringtones as a result of the bug, Apple\u2019s restore website will guide you through the steps necessary to get them back.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead, Apple is already reportedly working on iOS 8.2 which, among other things, will deliver support for Apple\u2019s first wearable, Apple Watch.
