While the company itself may not be as renown, its global illumination engine, Enlighten, has been used to create photo realistic lighting environments in major triple A game releases like Battlefield 4 and Need for Speed: The Run.<\/p>\n<p>At this point, ARM is yet to divulge exactly what it will do with Geomerics and its technology beyond saying that &#8220;it&#8217;ll help bring the next generation of graphics experiences to mobile platforms.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As some have suggested, this could mean that Geomerics could be lending a hand with graphics performance on ARM&#8217;s Mali GPU or just to help tweak the chips for better mobile gaming performance overall.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever Geomerics will end up doing for ARM it looks as though the company will also continue on its current path.
