Microsoft has released a blocking tool for business who wish to prevent Automatic Update from installing Internet Explorer 10 on their Windows 7 machines. This certainly shows that IE10 is very close to release for all Windows 7 users.
\nThe tool is officially named the \u201cToolkit to Disable Automatic Delivery of Internet Explorer 10\u201d and it enables users to stop the automatic installation of IE 10 through Windows Update. The new browser will be distributed via Windows Update as an \u201cImportant\u201d update.
\nAccording to Microsoft this tool is only for computers running Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. The toolkit doesn\u2019t expire but it won\u2019t prevent users from manually installing the browser. And of course organizations that employ Microsoft\u2019s extended solutions such as Windows Server Update Services don\u2019t need to use this blocker as they already have full control over what updates get installed.
\nA preview version of Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 was released late last year but with the launch of this tool it seems very probable the final version will be out in just a matter of days, and you can grab the IE 10 blocking toolkit here.
